The Kingdom of Tonga

This month old calf was old enough to be spatially aware, and loved playing games - in this situation, a game of chicken. She approaches, holding eye contact with me, blinks, and then does a barrel roll right between me and my friend Karim. The calf is like a 1-3 thousand pound water puppy, excited, conscious & playful. The mom relaxed about 20 feet below, confident its young calf is safe and only learning from this interaction. Keep a close eye and you can see the sea lice infestation on it’s face.
